People do not truly seek miracles. Beneath their longing for signs, wonders and supernatural intervention, what they are often searching for is hope; proof that suffering does not always have the final word.
They find that hope in those who have endured trials, confronted impossible odds and walked through seasons that should have broken them, yet still found the courage to rise and continue. Hope becomes believable when it takes human form.
That enduring strength is central to who I am. It has shaped me into a master of the mystic arts, a teacher of mysteries and a devoted practitioner of Pure Spirituality. Yet this is not a mantle that everyone can assume, nor is it a title one casually selects because it sounds impressive. One does not simply choose to become a mouthpiece of the spiritual world; spirituality chooses the individual, prepares the vessel and eventually demands that the person answer the call.

The Man Behind the Name
In both public life and spiritual circles, I am known as Knight Fredel.
I am a writer, publisher, metaphysicist, spiritual teacher and author of The Ogbanje Child and the Four Elements, The Art of Sex Magick and Lovers Fantasies. I am also the founder, executive writer and publisher of Awake Afraka Magazine, an independent publication devoted to spirituality, metaphysics, African ancestral knowledge, history and human enlightenment.

The Mission That Became a Movement
In 2017, I embarked upon a mission to reconnect Af’rakan men and women with the profound spiritual wisdom of our ancestors. That mission gave birth to the Awake Afraka Community—a spiritual home dedicated to uncovering arcane knowledge, examining the mysteries of existence and restoring truths that have been buried beneath centuries of religious conditioning, cultural displacement and historical distortion.
The purpose was never to create another institution of blind followers. The world already has enough people surrendering their minds in exchange for comfortable answers. My purpose was to awaken thinkers: individuals willing to question appearances, investigate reality and look beyond the surface of what society has instructed them to believe.
What began as a small gathering of seekers gradually developed into a vibrant community of people united by the desire to understand life more deeply. Together, we study the wisdom of our ancestors and explore how timeless spiritual principles can be applied to modern existence.
Knowledge of the past should not become a museum piece admired from a distance. It must become a living force—something capable of restoring identity, strengthening the mind and helping people live with greater clarity, purpose and spiritual awareness.
The Magazine as an Instrument of Enlightenment
The growth of the Awake Afraka Community inspired the creation of Awake Afraka Magazine. The magazine became an extension of the mission: a public gateway through which spiritual, historical, philosophical and practical knowledge could reach readers far beyond the immediate community.
This is not merely a magazine designed to entertain the eyes and occupy a few minutes. It is a living archive of ideas—a meeting place between ancient wisdom and modern consciousness.
Through its pages, I examine concealed histories, spiritual principles, metaphysics, human behaviour, personal development and the deeper forces influencing existence. Each article is intended to provoke thought, challenge inherited assumptions and add light to subjects often hidden behind fear, superstition or deliberate misinformation.
Awake Afraka Magazine exists to remind the reader that enlightenment is not the memorisation of impressive spiritual language. It is the courage to examine what one has been taught, separate truth from conditioning and rediscover the intelligence buried within.
The Path Within: The Hall of Ma’at
For those who desire more than general teachings, the Awake Afraka Community offers an inner path known as the Hall of Ma’at, formerly called the Premium Hall.
The Hall of Ma’at is a sacred learning environment for individuals prepared to move beyond casual reading into structured spiritual study and disciplined practice. Through progressive teachings known as study discourses, members receive my guidance as they develop a deeper relationship with their spiritual nature, elemental forces and ancestral foundations.
The journey begins with foundational portals and progresses towards the Altar Degree chambers, where the teachings become more advanced, personal and demanding.
The practices within the Hall are intended to cultivate spiritual awareness, emotional discipline, psychic defence and a stronger connection with the forces of nature. Members learn principles that can help them recognise harmful influences, strengthen their personal energy and approach life with greater spiritual intelligence.
This path requires consistency, sincerity and dedication. There are no instant degrees in spiritual mastery—regardless of how enthusiastically social media may advertise them. Genuine development requires patience, self-examination and the willingness to practise what one has been taught.
Inspired by Rosicrucian Discipline, Rooted in Afrakan Wisdom
The Awake Afraka Community draws some inspiration from the Rosicrucian tradition, particularly its dedication to progressive learning, philosophical inquiry, spiritual discipline and the pursuit of enlightenment.
However, our path is distinctly rooted in Afrakan heritage. We are neither a branch nor an imitation of the Rosicrucian Order, and we do not exist as a conventional occult fraternity. The community is a spiritual collective devoted to recovering, preserving and advancing the unique arcane knowledge inherited from our ancestral origins.
The structure may recognise the value of organised learning, but the soul of the community remains Afrakan. Our work begins with our roots, speaks to our present reality and prepares the awakened mind for a more conscious future.
Uniting People Through Truth and Wisdom
One of the most remarkable qualities of the Awake Afraka Community is its ability to unite people from different religions, tribes, cultures and philosophical backgrounds.
Within the community, Christians, Muslims, traditionalists, independent spiritual seekers and people still questioning their beliefs can encounter one another as members of one family of truth-seekers. No one is required to abandon their humanity at the door merely because their beliefs carry a different label.
Truth does not require a tribal uniform.
Together, we investigate the forgotten knowledge of our ancestors, challenge misleading narratives and pursue a deeper understanding of life. We may arrive from different roads, but we are united by the conviction that wisdom should liberate the mind rather than imprison it.
As this journey continues, I remain committed to guiding the community, preserving the teachings entrusted to me and helping others establish a stronger connection with their spiritual roots.
Your Heading My Work Beyond the Written Word
I am a writer and publisher, but my calling extends far beyond books, articles and magazines. I am also an adept of Pure Spirituality, Philosophy and Metaphysics, and I apply this knowledge in supporting those who come to me with genuine spiritual needs.
My work includes:
- Psychic defence and spiritual protection: I provide spiritual procedures intended to strengthen personal energetic boundaries and help individuals defend themselves against harmful spiritual influences.
- Charging of rings and jewels: I spiritually prepare and charge selected rings, jewels and symbolic objects to support auric strength, protection and favourable energy.
- Spiritual reconnection rites: I conduct rites designed to help individuals reconnect with their spiritual elements and ancestral foundations. For those seeking an authentic return to their roots, reconnection is often the first major step.
- Akashic and palm readings: These readings are used to investigate patterns surrounding a person’s past, present circumstances and spiritual journey, helping to identify possible roots of recurring difficulties.
- Spiritual consultations: Through consultation, I seek spiritual insight and counsel concerning the challenges presented by an individual.
- Spiritual counselling and guidance: I offer non-clinical spiritual support to people navigating emotional distress, trauma, depression, personal conflict, relationship difficulties and other serious life experiences. Where professional medical, psychological or legal assistance is required, spiritual guidance should complement—not replace—qualified care.
My work is broad because human problems rarely arrive in neat little boxes. A person may ask about protection while carrying emotional wounds; another may request a reading while struggling with disconnection from their identity. Effective spiritual guidance must recognise the whole person, not merely the problem they mention first.
The Burden and Honour of Being a Lightworker
I have dedicated my life to my calling as a Lightworker—a symbol of hope for those who feel trapped in darkness.
It is not an easy path to tread. Some may even describe it as a burden. The responsibility to guide others does not erase one’s personal trials; sometimes it intensifies them. Yet with every step I take, I illuminate a portion of the road so that another person may walk with greater understanding.
From the outside, what I do may appear effortless. People often see the light but not the fire that produced it. They witness the teacher but not the years of testing, discipline, sacrifice and isolation that prepared him.
They do not always understand what it means to be me—to be Knight Fredel.
As a master of the mystic arts and a teacher of mysteries, I perceive life through a distinctive spiritual lens. This separates my work from much of what is commonly displayed by spiritualists across social media.
I practise and teach an ancient and advanced expression of African Spirituality—one that rejects blood sacrifice and does not depend upon fear, violence or the appeasement of bloodthirsty lower entities. My path seeks communion with higher forces and the pure intelligences of nature.
To me, spiritual power without wisdom is merely danger wearing ceremonial clothing.
Embracing Truth Without Judgment
The modern world is increasingly divided by belief. Social media has turned religion and ideology into a public battlefield where everyone appears determined to prove that their path is superior. Too often, these arguments arise from ego rather than genuine understanding. Many people claim to defend God while displaying behaviour that would embarrass heaven.
I choose to distance myself from such spectacles.
My purpose is not to quarrel with those who believe differently but to enlighten those who sincerely seek truth. I bear no hostility towards Christians, Muslims, traditionalists or anyone following another path. Opposition and emotional warfare are not signs of mastery.
Discipline, humility and mastery of the emotions define my approach. My role is neither to compel nor convert, but to reveal, explain and share. The knowledge I offer is for those prepared to receive it.
As the ancient principle reminds us, “The master appears when the student is ready.”
My Call to Enlightenment
The knowledge I share through my books, teachings and articles is not intended to divide humanity. It is intended to illuminate the mind.
I do not write to recruit an army of people who repeat my words without understanding them. I write to awaken thinkers—people capable of examining knowledge, questioning assumptions and discovering truth for themselves.
For those who read with open hearts and disciplined minds, my words may serve as a beacon: a source of guidance, clarity and hope during seasons of uncertainty.
True enlightenment is not about superiority. It is about connection—to oneself, to other people, to nature, to our ancestors and to the greater universe of which we are all a part.
